The Venlo greenhouse is by far the most commonly used greenhouse in greenhouse horticulture. This also applies to HORCONEX: 98% of the greenhouse projects supplied by our company incorporate a Venlo greenhouse. Obviously, this type is associated with many variants. Ranging from a standard model to a model that focuses on active dehumidification (such as the Activenlo®) or a greenhouse that is designed to produce green electricity (such as the Solar Venlo®). HORCONEX specialises in constructing Venlo greenhouses, regardless of the exact model that has been chosen.
The type of crop is often the main reason for choosing a Venlo greenhouse. This type of greenhouse is very popular among vegetable growers because of the high light transmission level. The design is ideal for growing tomatoes, cucumbers, aubergines, lettuce and bell peppers. However, growers of cut flowers and potted plants also frequently use Venlo greenhouses
Good ventilation plays a major role in successful crop cultivation. Depending on the grower's requirements and the location, we build a standard Venlo greenhouse with 2-pane or 3-pane ventilation windows or continuous ventilation, depending on the required ventilation capacity. Opening the windows (automatically) provides effective ventilation in the greenhouse and reduces air humidity. If the level of ventilation provided by the standard Venlo greenhouse design is not adequate for your crop, the Cabrio greenhouse concept can be incorporated in your greenhouse design.
We can deliver your greenhouse including the necessary installations in order to create the ideal climate conditions. In addition to the 2-pane or 3-pane ventilation hatches in the Venlo greenhouse, we can also install screens, heating and dehumidification systems. Because we deliver complete horticulture solutions, the greenhouse is designed and built in full accordance with your requirements.
A Venlo greenhouse can be built both as a free-standing structure and as an extension to an existing greenhouse. Adding it to an existing greenhouse is not only much more efficient because this eliminates 1 exterior wall, it also results in much lower heat loss. Possible height differences between 2 greenhouses can be bridged without difficulty. The same roof angle can be used when building your service area. This results in seamless integration with the rest of the Venlo greenhouse.
